Automatically shutdown Untangle on power failurer

I have a new customer on untangle who is rural and they have a lot of power outages which can be short interruption or sometimes a few hours.

I've setup them up with battery backup that will keep the servers running for about 2 hours. Also setting up PowerChute Network Shutdown using UPS Network Management Cards from APC.

Question: How can I setup PowerChute Network Shutdown on Untangle? Is it necessary? Could Untangle malfunction if it would shutdown regularly with power failures?
