I seem to be having an e-mail routing issue at multiple clients that all uses Untangle boxes. The issue is when mail is sent from our ISP's hosted e-mail we almost always don't receive the mail on our internal exchange servers. Here is exactly what is happening we have Time Warner Cable as the ISP at multiple clients and when outside mail is sent to them from Time Warners rr.com e-mail accounts that mail will go through the spam filter up to 7 times and either come through or never come through and the sender will get a time out error a day later. Now what I just discovered is if I change the DNS servers on my external interface in Untangle from Time Warners DNS servers to Google's Open DNS servers and rr.com mail starts flowing perfectly fine. So that leaves me to believe the issue is def. with using Time Warners DNS for my external DNS. The reason I'm bring it up here is because I know the Spam Blocker Lite needs you to use your ISP's external DNS servers for the spam filtering to work correctly. If I move to the paid version of the Spam Blocker do I no longer need to uses my ISP's external DNS allowing me to fix this issue. Or does anyone have a work around for this issue. Thank you in advance.
