Hello,
I just got a cable modem installed, it works, I have tested with a TP-link basic router and through it I can access the internet without a problem.
Then I tried setting an untangle server as a router, the internal interface works fine, but the external interface doesn't get a connection to the internet, I can't even ping the gateway.
I have tried changing the cable, remapping the interfaces in case a network card was faulty, I have checked the IP addresses lots of times, and I don't see where the problem may be.
The external interface is set as:
Config type: addressed
IPv4:
I guess I could set Untangle as a bridge behind the TP-link router but, since I want to activate OpenVPN, I would rather not.
Any idea what could be wrong?
Thanks
