recommended Intel hardware - any intel board will do?

Hi Untanlgers.
Wanted to check before I go out and buy a board and nics.

Do any of you have a board you really like that just works? And works well?
What about intel nics? Any recommendations?


Current hardware I have untanlge on is rubbish. I have an 1155 i3 doing nothing, that I want to put into an untangle build.
