Our small business uses a Point of Sale system that has it's own Gift Card management system. The client POS on our LAN must talk to a server (on internet) with the following request: http://ecommerce.XXXX.com/wp.dll?IPSwitch:process.ips
I've obviously changed the domain!
What happens that every several requests to the server (on the internet) via the URL above causes the client program to hang for 30 seconds creating many issues for us. I've narrowed down the issue to the UT after removing all systems from our LAN with the exception of one test server and one switch and the UT.
We use a web monitoring program to record the return from any URL request and ONLY the URL given above causes this hang and the program that is choking on it is the Virus Blocker Lite. If I turn this module off the issue goes aways...but obviously don't want to leave the SBL off!
Can someone look at the URL mentioned above that we send out and tell me is there any reason this URL would cause the UT to hang on it?
The web event viewer tells me nothing because it always hangs on REFRESHING EVENTS...
