I was just wondering if it would be possible to create a custom Captive Portal HTML page that would use LDAP to query the username and password.
I am no expert developer, but in looking at this website...http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/LinuxTutorialApacheAddingLoginSiteProtection.html# LDAP . I am curious if I could have the captive portal page appear when users are not running a Windows OS that is running the Directory Connector, and the login credentials would be the same as they are on active directory.
I know that there are many common web applications/frameworks such as Joomla and/or SugarCRM that are apache based and have LDAP authentication as an option.
