Question on DHCP ranges and packets between networks

Untangle as router, latest 10.x version, flat network, no VLANs, Untangle internal NIC is 192.168.3.21 and provides DHCP on that range.

I have one Ubuntu server that I have set to 10.1.1.2 on its sole NIC. It is connected to our regular switches where everything else is plugged in.

I can't get Untangle set right so that I can manage the 10.x server from my 192.168.3.x laptop. I attached what I have in the routes; additionally, the Untangle internal NIC has an alias of 10.1.1.21, and I've also tried 10.0.0.21.

Is there a builtin block in Untangle that prohibits communication between the main DHCP ranges? I.e. in this case I am trying to talk from a 192.168.x range over to a 10.x range; in contrast to talking between a 192.168.x range and another 192.168.x range (which I have configured successfully and it works fine).

I asked basically the same question here, but that thread is closed and now that I have time to revisit this, I just started a new thread.

Thanks for any help!
