We have a client that is still on Untangle 9, and we are planning to upgrade to 11. However, the OpenVPN has been having issues for quite sometime. It drops connection, the icon disappears from the systray, etc.
So, we are debating on if we should continue with OpenVPN or make the switch to Microsoft VPN when we do the new install of Untangle 11. I am just worried that going to 11 will not resolve the issues with OpenVPN, and our client will look at us 'stupid' for this.
So, I am coming to the forum to ask what advantages does OpenVPN have over Microsoft VPN to convince us to stay with OpenVPN? I am sure it has be something seeing as how Untangle offers this, but what is it? What makes it worth it over Microsoft? Less configuration? Security?
Please give me thoughts, links, experience, or anything you can on this.
