Supposed to see a warning on systems that have not installed root certificate?

Hi there,

Maybe I am on drugs or whatever, but after activating HTTPS inspector and going through the process of installing the default root certificate to all the workstations (both into Firefox and Chrome/IE)...I am a little confused...

For example, on my android based phone, I had not yet installed the root certificate, but could still access HTTPS sites no problem from our internal network (disabled carrier data to test)...this made me check on non-critical computers on which I did not install the root certificate yet...and they can access HTTPS no problem with no warnings from untangle, etc. These were wired machines who's only internet access was on our LAN, through Untangle.

I thought that the root certificates were necessary to install so that warnings were not given to local machines about the "man-in-the-middle" magic Untangle was pulling off to make HTTPS inspection work? Am I wrong?

Don't be afraid to call me names...I may be a stupid idiot here, and I can take it!
