Here we go. This is my first post in the Untangle forums. I have what I believe to be a weird problem, but first some quick background.
SETUP: (completely new, drops and all):
ISP modem<=>Untangle (Router Mode)<=>Cisco SG200-26p<=>Devices (workstations, printers, server, phones, WAP)
VLAN 10 (internal interface)-Primary DATA and Office WiFi (192.168.1.1) DHCP hosted by Windows Server 2012
VLAN 20 (vlan interface)-VOIP(hosted) (192.168.20.1) DHCP hosted by Untangle
VLAN 30 (vlan interface)-Guest Wifi (192.168.30.1) DHCP hosted by Untangle
Ports 1-6 and 13-17 -Access, VLAN 20
Ports 7-12 and 18-24 -Access, VLAN 10
Port 25 Trunk all VLANs
port 26 Trunk VLAN 10 and 30 (ubiquiti Unifi AP)
Worked Great!
PROBLEM:
During setup, I could not get internet connectivity on VLAN 10 with 192.168.1.1. (This was what was used in old building.) Upon changing it to 192.168.10.1, internet access came and all was well.
2 days later they lost connection to the internet, but only VLAN 10. The phones and guest Wifi still worked. After much troubleshooting, the only to correct the issue was to change the IP address subnet. I changed it to 192.168.8.1 (of course having to change the server IP, DHCP scope, and Printer Ports) Connectivity came back up immediately.
Thinking the issue was with the Untangle box, I built another one and configured it exactly as the first. Upon installing it, VLAN 10 lost connection to the internet. I changed the IP address to 192.168.9.1 and it came back up.
When the internet connection was lost, I also lost the ability to reach the Untangle box from VLAN 10.
I would like to figure this out before they lose internet again.
I hope the explanation is clear. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!
