Is it safe & simple to add another NIC to UT NG 10.1 after the box is already running in a production environment?
I have a client who probably needs another NIC in their v.10.1 UT NG. In the past (9.x) I had a box where we had difficulty getting networking functional after adding a Intel 4-port server NIC to an existing UT firewall. After some of my own troubleshooting I contacted UT support. They told me that sometimes people just have to reinstall Untangle after adding NICs, as it just doesn't always add the extra NICs smoothly. With some effort I was able to get the extra NICs working without having to reinstall.
But the fact that tech support told me this is a common issue, makes me hesitant to add a NIC to another production system. Does anyone know whether the issues from 9.x that contributed to such problems have been resolved in 10.x such that I shouldn't worry about this at all?
I appreciate the feedback of anyone aware of UT NG 10.x under-the-hood network layer.
