Good morning all. Just looking into making the switch from PFSense to Untangle. One thing that we must be able to duplicate is the ability to send out a text string for DHCP option 242 (Avaya VoIP phone auto-config).
I've tried several variations based on both the wiki's link to the DHCP instructions, and various searches on the Googs, looking for any examples where a new DHCP text string needed to be created (not just individual comma-separated addresses), but no luck.
Here's what we ultimately need:
DHCP Option 242 (on a given IP Scope, not server-wide - though that would be nice as well), puts out a text string that contains about 100 characters of text, including commas".
I've tried making my description "dhcp-option=242" and my value "STATIC,MCIPADD=192.168.10.10,192.168.10.11,HTTPSSRV=192.168.10.10,192.168.10.11" (both with and without the quotes in each field, but to no avail.
I also noted the warning that if you misconfigure, it won't start (maybe that was just systemwide options), but each time DHCP does resume and I'm able to pull addresses, just not the option 242 string I'm so desperately trying to create.
Can anyone provide an example of what I'm missing here? I've not been able to locate anything that can help.
Thanks.
