When using https, cannot see captive portal

Hello all,

I am new. I installed Captive portal, it works great on http. Lets say I come back after an hour to my computer and I type "What is my ip" on Chrome Browser. I cannot see any captive portal. Chrome tells me that something is redirecting my sessions etc. My Chrome uses https://google.com as default. So I go to a non https site and I get the Captive Portal. After this I am able to use https related sites.

My users will get confused wit this. I would like to know, if this a native feature of CP or I need to do something else to allow https site to see the captive portal.

I did try to search the forums, but never came up with the right procedure to rectify this issue.
