We currently use multiple Untangle instances at our datacenter behind a Vyatta router. The configuration looks like this:
Traffic comes in from the ISP and hits the Vyatta acting solely as a router
ISP -> Vyatta eth0 (WAN subnet1) -> Vyatta eth1 (WAN subnet2)
Vyatta eth1 is plugged into a switch along with all the other Untangles configured on WAN subnet2. All the Untangles have eth0 as WAN plugged in to this switch and then eth1 is LAN with NAT, DHCP, etc.
I would like to replace the Vyatta with an Untangle with two NIC's for WAN subnet 1 and WAN subnet2. My question is this - if I enable QoS on this new Untangle, will it QoS between the WAN interfaces? Obviously some of this depends on how I setup my custom QoS rules, but assuming that they are simple rules to give high priority to certain kinds of traffic regardless of source/destination, will Untangle do that?
