Recently Debian released version 7 codename "Wheezy". Which is odd because that is the name for the testing branch I thought.
I myself until recently have always used Ubuntu since they make a well polished distro that has a lot of the packages I need. But now I am finding myself wanting to do a lot more tweaking and customizing to my Linux boxes and have decided to move over to Debian.
What I am wondering is since Debian does not update very often is the fact that Debian 7 was released a significant event? Doesn't Untangle track the Debian upstream kernel? Will this have any impact on Untangle or other similar projects in upcoming months?
I am talking from a purely hypothetical stance, I am not asking if a new kernel is coming out or anything.
